Recommended image practices for accommodation listings and detail pages.
Good images are important for accommodation websites.
Recommended image types:
- Exterior hero image.
- Bedroom images.
- Bathroom images.
- Kitchen or living area images.
- View or surrounding environment.
- Pool, deck, restaurant or shared facilities.
- Activities or experiences where relevant.
Suggested approach:
- Use a strong hero image for each property.
- Add property gallery images for the overall stay.
- Add accommodation-specific images for each room or unit.
- Keep images clear, bright and consistent.
- Avoid tiny or heavily compressed images.
- Test how images crop in cards, carousels and mobile views.
If an accommodation option does not have its own images, the detail page may fall back to the parent property images.
